how do i undock and close a pane?

I have a pane stuck onear the top ... I have been looking and searching through user guide, on the net, here in the forums, but cannot find how to undock and close this thing.
it is the simulator settings pane

I',m not sure how it even got stuck here.

Click the option menu, or right-click the tab, to get the option menu - which includes close. or drag the tab out of the dock to float it, as long Window>Worksapce>Lock Docking/Undocking is unchecked.

I found this thread on Google. I'm not sure how old it is. I want to move the area that holds my content browser over into another monitor. I don't find any options menu, or anything under the Windows menu, mentioning workspace etc. I have Carrara 8.5 Pro for Mac.

The option menu is the lined button in the top corner of the pane, or right-click the pane's tab - it isn't in the main menu. But htis is for Daz Studio, not Carrara.
