Configuration Error

Okay. I admit it. I did something stupid and messed things up a little and I need help getting me out of this.

I bought a new, larger HD for my DS content library because I was running out of space. So, after installing the new drive I copied my content library over to the new drive and set about pointing DS's preferences to the library on the new drive. That works fine but somewhere along the way I messed something up and now everytime I open DAz Studio I get the messege you see attached.

I'm not sure but the error may be coming from a seperate issue. Originally I was going to clone my C: drive to the new drive so I was uninstalling things I never use. When I saw "one drive" I thought it was a Microsoft cloud drive I don't use so I uninstalled it. Perhaps that is what the error messege is pertaining to? Perhaps this "one drive" was something DS was using and I should not have uninstalled it?

  • I believe that is related to Look at My Hair (the free Player, I think). try uninstalling and reinstalling that.

    Thanks for the reply Richard.

    I believe I uninstall the free version long ago when I was having trouble after purchasing the full version.

    Also, this issue just started after I played with the content directories. If you look at the other attachment you will see that under "daz studio formats" the third one down point to C:/Users ... I do not remember seeing that there before I changed things. Should that be there?

  • The OneDrive folder shouldn't be causing any errors, though it may be slow and/or eating bandwidth.

    The strange thing is Richard, I have no idea where this one drive came from. Weird. Thanks for attempting to assist. You're awesome.

    @DarkElf

    You can always delete the OneDrive path from the conifguration manager.

    Fastbike, not sure how to do that. Are you referring to the "Content Directory Manager"?

    If you are on windows 10 and signed in with a windows live account (or hotmail for not-so-young-timers like me) then you were automatically given a one drive (cloud storage)

    I believe I tried Gmail once. I did try a couple others. Perhaps that is where that one drive came from. Thanks.
