I also use many of your products in all my renders, so thank you for that, but I never enter contests......maybe this time ;-)

I enter contests a lot. They give me the motivation to try new things. I don't think I've ever entered a contest for 3D art that I didn't learn something new. For me, that's the substance, and if I win something, that's just "the cherry on top." And this contest has some really nice cherries!

Anyway, I reallly hope you'll enter. yes

I look forward to everyone's entries!  I love seeing what people do with the products.

4 more weeks.  Submission thread is here.  Please note that I clarified the rules so that it is clear that you may change your submission.  There can be only one final submission, but you can submit and change your submission as we go along.

I am working on something to submit, will hopefully have it done soon.

I decided to get the ball rolling, and submitted my last artistic render. I'm hoping to get something done using one or both of the products in the Dragon Master Bundle, but that's starting to look iffy. Anyway, be sure to look at the face in the full-sized image, via the gallery page. His expression is subtle, thanks to the Expression Mixer. I think one can read a lot into it…

Thank you for being the trail blazer!  The image and description are great!  I am so happy that Expression Mixer is working for you.  Good luck.

Thanks. My chances of winning something are looking pretty good at the moment. laugh wink

(I expect my chances will diminish very quickly, though, the closer we get to the deadline!)

I am a huge fan of your products. I am trying to create something for your contest, but I'm such a noob. Hopefully I'll succeed.

Is it okay to post the image elsewhere? I'd like to link back to the contest.

It is your image.  You can post it whereever and how ever many times you want.  I would just like all the images available in the submission thread so people do not have to chase them down.

I skipped over this thread but I just rendered this image without realising I was using one of your sets, Now-Crowd Billboards - Medieval City Life. It isn't the finished image but I thought I would post it here for you to see :)

I used three Billboards and used Emissive lights on all the candles. The reason for the long render is because of the bright candles in the middle of the scene and moving them out of the view should speed the next render up a bit. I always find that excessively bright areas causing big contrast changes causes the image to take longer to reach the converged setting.

Thank you @"agent unawares" for submitting to the contest!  Good luck!

BTW, does anyone know how to refer to user with space in name?  (I just removed the space in my forum name because of this problem)

I have no idea. It's said that you can just remove the space, but I see people trying to summon me that way and it doesn't work. I'd remove the space from my name, but I'm...very stubborn.

I attempted inserting an underscore recently, but I have no idea if it worked. I'm guessing it didn't.

No, that doesn't work. Tried it already. lol

The thing is, when you have a name with a space, (or an apostrophe like in my name,) the code that generates the notifications sees that as the end of the name. But if you check the link to Agent Unawares, for example, you'll see the url to his profile includes the space. Or the url to my profile includes the apostrophe. The only way to get around that is for the names to not be allowed to use such characters. (I'm pretty sure Daz is the only site I've been able to include the apostrophe, Though at least one site let me use a period.)

There are sites that allow spaces, but then they use the quoted string to refer to a name with strange characters.  Unfortunately, Daz's forum ignores the quoted convention.  Oh well.

Looks like that dragon image is going to be submitted after all. The image is done, it's just the description of how your products helped that's holding up the post in the entry thread.

Happy Anniversary!!  And Many, Many more!!  smiley

I entered.  The  Word Tattoo for Genesis 3 and 8 Female is the raison d'etre for my render.

I love it!  That is great.  I am glad the Dragon Master Pose Control is working for you!  (and Pose Blender... and Bone Doctor ... and Eye Clocksmiley)  BTW, from what I remember, the Look At Me Pose Control works with Dragon 3 (or at least Crystal Dragon.  I can't check right now as Daz is tied up rendering), though it only moves the head and the neck segment closest to the head.  I used an early version of Look At Me with Crystal Dragon and the Dragon Master Pose Control to make all the poses for Crystal Dragon.

@spuffy I agree!  That is a fun image!  It made me laugh when I saw it! laugh  I am glad you entered.  It would be helpful if you put more text and explained more.  Did you use Expression Mixer for all the expressions or just the girl hacking up a furball (or doing a Gene Simmons impression for those old enough to understand)? smiley  Was Look at Me used in this image?  How?

You made my day!  I sweated over whether or not I should enter so it’s nice to be able to stop sweating LOL

I’ll go back and edit the post to put in more information.  All the expressions were done using Expression Mixer (including the singer although you can’t tell)  and Look At Me are the two guitar players. They are actually looking at each other ;-) I think I might have used one of your pose control thingys on the guitar players but I can’t recall for sure.
