'Black Rooms'.....

Hello guys.....

Can anyone help me out here please? This is regarding loading when you load up some sets into your scene they always appear 'blacked out' and you can't see anything at all, I think it must be something to do with how the lighting works in that particular set, however, disabling the lights still doesn't seem to make any difference and everything is still black, on some scenes you can delete all the lights and then you can see everything that's going on, but then of course you can't always get just the lights to load back in for rendering. I've also tried turning on the camera headlamp to see if that sorts it out but in a lot os scenes it does nothing..... So my question here really is, is there a way to get rid of this 'blacked out' appearance so that I can see what I'm setting up, but then put it back to how it was for rendering?

CTRL-L on PC will give you preview lights.
