linking of assett not working

Hi, I am working on creating a new Scifi outfit for Genasis 8 female, As you can see I have the outfit created, the boots created and the gun created, all have been properly assigned bones and set up using the figure setup tool, plus fit to Genasis 8 female.

My problum is that I have also created a belt and weapon holster to hold the weapon in, but cant seem to get the gun to link properly to the holster. As you can see in the first image I have placed the gun in the holster. and have paranted it to the holster that is parented to Genasis 8 female.

But when I apply a pose to Genasis 8 female, the gun stays where it is.

Any help would be greatly apriciated.

Does the gun follow Genesis if fitted to her? Or is it a parented prop rather than a figure (in which case it needs to be parented to a bone - abdomen, hip, or pelvis probably - rather than just the belt figure)?

Yes the gun does follow genesis. If I parent it to her hand or foot or other body part it follows no problum. that is why I was confused when I tryied to link it to the belt and it didnt follow.

The belt I created as a piece of clothing, by using the figure setup tool, so it should have a few bones with it I think?

Ahhhhh Yes the Gun is a prop. it is not part of the figure, So I undersand now. It must be parented to a bone. to work. Thank you so much for your help. :)
