The "Help Me Find This" Thread

Because it seems like there really should be one - I can't be the only relative newbie who frequently sees an image online and goes "Woah! Where do I get me one of THOSE?", only to spend the next hour and a half searching in vain for some element or other.

So. The basic principal here is, you link or attach an image, ask about whichever bit you're trying to track down, and with any luck some wise and generous soul will come along and point you in the right direction. Simple enough, right?

Here, I'll start. (What's that you say? Ulterior motives? No idea what you're talking about... <_<)</p>

I'm looking for...

This pretty lady's sword. I hereby promise the soul of my... uh... eleventhborn to anyone who can deliver. ;)

    John

We don't have a specific thread, mostly because so many people look for things that many requests would get lost in the shuffle.
If you're looking for something, it's okay to start a new thread and hopefully someone will be able to set you straight.

That said, I vaguely remember that sword and will try to find out where I remember it from.

One of these swords should fit the bill...
    http://www.daz3d.com/dmr-ellas-quest (it's in this set)
    or
    http://www.daz3d.com/ancient-blades-by-merlin

    Best of luck!

I knew it was one of Danie's swords, but I went to Renderosity first :)

    Ah, cheers to you both!

@tsarist: So, you don't think a unified thread is a good idea? I maintain otherwise, but I suppose it's up to the community at large...

    Anyone else need a hand?

Ok, I'll play. The outfit used in the promo images for the new Yamaki Show Poses? Specifically the pants.

I think this thread is a good idea.

I've been searching for the outfit promo'd in The Greek Bath but have not been able to find it:

Attached is a scaled-up and cropped image from one of the promo images.

Thank you for any information you can provide!

Possibly one of these, with the front panel made invisible?

Oh hey, I think I can help with that one! I believe it's Fantasy Wrap 2 for Victoria 3.0, with the "Athens" texture set from Around the World applied.

Glad to see the whole one-thread-to-rule-them-all idea catching on. :)

Thanks very much for the links to Fantasy Wrap 2 for Victoria 3.0, which is probably where it came from.

The outfit looks the same but the texture map is what I can't find, probably because there's only one promo image for that product.

It also doesn't help that the "In Depth Review" and "List of Morphs" links don't work anymore (get "artzone.daz3d.com Server not found" and "404 Not Found" errors), but it's not that expensive (currently listed at $9.93) so I'll likely get it anyway and try it out.

Thank you greatly for the help!

The texture set is Around the World by heleng. It is a PA product. The search engine doesn't always work. Look under the vendor listing in the shop drop down menu.

The Fanstasy wrap is an older product. It has movement morphs for the ribbon part but few if any figure morphs included.

It's not that I don't like the idea of a single thread for people finding things. The problem I have is the practical application.
Right now, I see your request. I see the 2nd request, but that's because those are on the first page.
When the requests are buried 20 pages in, that's when the problems will begin.
That's why single threads are more effective.

That said, I will try to help people that post in this thread and I'm sure many other people will pitch in as well.

If I see the name of an item in a thread title and I know something about it, I usually try to help. I'll probably never look at this thread again. Pretty simple really.

Unfortunately, the things I end up seeking out no longer exist. For instance Chris_T's previous latex goodies and Sanctumarts. When things by them resurface, someone nudge me.. hard.

Hm. Well, fair enough. It's been my experience on other fora that threads like this work quite well, but then I am a bit of a newcomer here and the dynamics may be different than I'm used to. (And then there's the fact that the front page can only fit fifteen threads after all the stickies...)

Still, we've managed three for three. So I'd call this experiment a success, even if it proves short-lived.
