Reinstalled, can't use old content

So, it's a little bit complicated, and as a result I need some serious help.

So, I used to have a DAZstudio 3.8 installed, with lots of content (characters, backgrounds etc).

Due to PC issues I had to reinstall windows (after backing up all the content I had)

Now, I downloaded the latest version of dazstudio, set the content to be saved on drive D through the installer (not the manager, jsut the regular installer) and copied all my files to the folder I had chosen for the content. However, Dazstudio, for now, doesn't see any content in there.

So, I guess my method didn't work (or maybe the folder were organized for the older version, not sure)

What can I do to make this reinstalled studio to use my old content? Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • You would need to add the folder(s) you used as content directories (that is, the foldr that holds the Data and Runtime folders) to DS - a quick way to do this is to right-click on the Daz Studio Formats/Poser Formats headings in the Content Library pane and use the Add directory commands.

This helped a lot, but it will take me a while to sort things out. Any advice still appreciated
