Saving FBM's- Data loss

Hi.

I'm attempting to save my GoZ morphs and running into a bit of a problem. At first I said okay, this is probably a common issue, so I searched the forums and google, watched a few excellent tutorials, some that I'd already seen, and some that filled in some blanks.

The Problem- morphs disappearing entirely upon opening a fresh scene, or restarting Daz. Morphs remain (sometimes) on a saved scene as temp data. Reload GoZ every time I want to use them.

Steps taken-  Load base G8f in scene, change resolution to base, subdiv to 0. Zero all morphs hidden or otherwise. GoZ. Sculpt. GoZ back. Update existing > G8f. Create morph:  change name, reverse deform= yes, create control property= no, make unique. Find newly added morph. Edit parameters, fix labeling, auto follow on, type = modifier/shape.  Dial to 100 percent. In viewport in joint editor mode, right click, edit, adjust rigging to shape : Adjust end points, adjust center points, adjust orientation. Accept, adjust mean weights ... Rigging adjusted -> leave morph dial to 100 percent. ERC freeze, restore figure=yes apply control property = yes restore figure rigging= yes. Dial morph to zero. Save as->support asset - > morph asset. Find control property with same name, check it and and only it. Save.

Any idea why this is not "sticking" ? I thought I'd covered all the bases here.

  • It certainly looks right. If you are in Edit mode in the parameters pane does the morph have an M to the left of its slider?

I was in edit mode, and then I tried leaving edit mode and then saving (I think) and same result. I'll try again just to be sure.

Next thing I'd do: after saving a new morph (with a name you haven't used before), check to see if the file exists.

Maybe that's it. Using the same names..but I deleted the old morphs and they are not to be seen either.

It seems to be working now. I think it was that I had exited edit mode for some reason before saving out. Thank you Richard, and Murgatroyd for  your help.
