Problems with Lucrezia Locks Hair-Solved

I don't understand why I am having a problem with this hair. I remember using it several years ago when a friend had it on their computer and she had the Daz 3 program. Now I have bought it and have installed it on Daz 4.5. The hair loads no problem, but getting the textures to work is a royal pain.

Some files it keeps searching for is GtLuc_T_Base.jpg and Lucrezia/GtLuc_T_TopCap and GtLuc_T_adOnHairAd.jpg It doesn't matter what texture I click on, it keeps asking for these files and I have searched the folders and they just don't exist. The Expansion gives problems as well, I try to apply the textures from the expansion to the hair and it can't even find the files, it also won't let me locate the files. So the original hair is missing the transmaps and a bunch of textures, not to mention you get the exact same error no matter what texture you click on and the expansion is telling the program it doesn't exist, despite the fact I checked the folder in textures and they are there.

Any idea's on what to do about this. It's a really nice hair and I would like to use it.

I'm going to assume then that the files themselves are pointing to an incorrect texture location. Have you ever manually edited runtime files through a text editor?

And odd behaviour, but some people in the old forums said that textures don't work properly unless you parent the hair to the head first? Not sure if that counts for the missing texture dialogue at all, but I don't have the hair so I can't test it at all.

The hair is parented, so that can't be the problem and yes it does point to the wrong location, as with many products these days everything wants to find textures in the libraries section instead of the texture section like it suppose to. I have never tried to alter a document for a product. Below is what is in the description for textures, but when I look in the folder, there are only 11 textures and no transmaps at all. This product, if I understood the readme correctly, is missing a huge number of files related to textures. Just to be sure I checked the morphs and fits and they work fine.

    31 Hair Texture Shades

    31 Base Textures
    61 Hair Textures
    1 Base TransMap
    2 Hair TransMaps

    Textures:

    33 Hair Texture Maps (2024 x 2024)
    60 Hair Texture Maps (1417 x 1417)
    16 Glasses Texture and Transparency Maps (512 x 512)
    07 Necklace Texture Maps (512 x 512)
    03 Hair Transparency Maps (2024 x 2024)

Poser 5+ MAT Poses To Apply all Presets (.PZ2)

I just tried the glasses and necklaces for this package and there are no textures at all in the texture folder.

Well I finally got it to install properly and now it works fine. I had to direct the install all the way to the runtime folder, not the my library folder and now everything is where it's suppose to be.

Glad you were able to get it working. I haven't came across any real messed up content other than freebies, but then I didn't actively use DS until Genesis so a lot of my purchases have been newer things.
