Reducing AA time

Nice enough scene here but the AA time is killing me!  I'm using spikes on the far terrains to simulate trees.  How can I reduce the AA time but still make it seem like the mountains are covered with trees?

    SandySims - Try rendering Premium without any options enabled and set Rays per pixel to 9, then plop render a part and look whether it is good (what I think it is for your scene) or set it to 16 rpp if not. Also set Maximum Ray Depth lower than 6, 3 or 4 are usually good. Do not use TIR for this scene. When rendering Regular, the estimated time is only the rendering and excludes the AA pass (which can be 10 times longer). For Premium render, the estimated time includes all, it is usually quite accurate, sometimes it takes a bit longer.
