What's Up with Immortal Elegance being Labeled as New?

I purchased Immortal Elegance 4 days ago during the PA Extravaganza Sale. It had been sitting in my wishlist for quite awhile, yet it was released today as being new and even the product Read Me states it as being released today. To me that is nothing but deception. I honestly have no idea how to view DAZ for this one. What is going on DAZ? These recent tactics have had me questioning certain things, but this one is over the top.

The SKU hasn't changed, and when you view the item it's still obviously purchased. (I actually bought it full price, because I've been drooling after it for months, then it went on sale a few days later, and now it's on sale again. I don't mind, more folks should buy it, it's a great model.)
I think that they refreshed it for the bundle, and they wanted to make it available at the typical 30% off for 'new' purchases price, since the bundle adds on to it. (Probably the longest time between a PA product release and a PA bundle release that included it...) But I have no insight, per se, outside of wanting to note clearly that it's not screwing folks who've already bought it at all.

A bit more than that — the two D|S materials in the old installer is now one red .duf for D|S4.5+ and there's no sign of the black texture. And there's a new skydome prop to give you a simple set of pretty reflections. Not sure what's been changed in the .cr2 but it's definitely not the same file size. No complaints here, though, I could never get the original D|S MATs to look quite right. This seems to be a "version 2". I think I might get the extra textures.
I have seen many bundles with older items in them and those items are not labeled as new. It seems to me no matter how you word it and how many scapegoat answers there are, it is still deception saying an item is new when it clearly is not, especially changing the release date in the documentation. If they wanted it to be 30% off, it does not have to be labeled as a new item. They can take a percentage off any item in the store as they do with the Fast Grab items. Why would they need to bring both items to the front of the store when the bundle has a link to the older item. Am I the only one who sees this as not being honest promotion? I don't get it. Clearly it seems DAZ does no wrong in some people's eyes.

As a non-PC member, today is the first I'm seeing it.
The product was released around a couple of years ago, just guessing, but the release date has been changed to today's date and the item is now labeled as new.
Kind of like buying a car from a salesman who tells you it is a brand new car, but the odometer has 25,000 miles on it.
The car was pulled shortly after release back in 2011 for a few issues that should not have made it passed QA. Perhaps you added it during the brief time it was available.

I also noticed the sale "Save an Extra 30%" does not work. I put several items in the 30 item list that have 30% off and the EXTRA 30% does not come off as advertised. It doesn't end with the sales department. They need to get it together and stop saying one thing when it clearly is another thing. I spend a lot of money at this site and I am getting fed up with the deceptive tactics. I think it's time to send Anne (Aundrea) an email.

You said it's been on your WISHLIST for some time. You probably added it to your WISHLIST the first time it was released.

Ah, that explains why I never had any problems playing with it, looking at my old orders I bought it a few days after the fix was announced.

This version of the car is a complete update, new geometry, textures, etc. That is probably why it's counted as being a new release.

sorry I'm late to the party (sleep and work and such...). Unfortunately I don't know why the product was marked new as I do not have access to that information. My guess is that it was the quickest and safest way to get the bundle to work in the new store. Or that the car was completely updated (and it is indeed a free update, it just replaces the old version)... Dunno, though I certainly have no objections to it :)
Anyways, hope you guys are enjoying the new version :D
PS: the new version has a more advanced carpaint shader for DAZ Studio. If you want to turn it black like in the old version, just change value (4) and (5) to black in the surface tab (after applying the DS materials that came with the new version).

Hmm, dunno wich sale you are referring to? I just have the 30% intro sale and a 40% discount on vehicels with the bundle. If there are problems with sales it is best to contact support, as they have all the needed info to help you.
