How Do I Link My Gallery In Forum Posts?

When I put a picture in the forums I have to first post to IMGUR then use that link in the gallery thread.  I have seen other people use the links to their gallery for an item, but I always get an error.  How do I get the link to my gallery to post an item in the forum?  When I try I get this -

    Use attach  a file  (down there ↓)    make your post, you should now have a thumbnail  click on the thumbnail to bring it up to full size and then right click and copy image location.
    MNow click on the gear icon in your post and click to edit.  Now use the screnn you show to add the image URL.  
    Because of the amount of different devices we do ask that you limit the width of your image to 800px, but if you do it on that screen people can click on the im line image and bring it back to full size if they wish.

    To link the image back to your gallery click on the 2nd tab as well and add the gallery image URL there
