PostgreSQL - here I go again!

Hi guys,
For some reason the new version of DAZ Studio cannot see my PostreSQL. I tried uninstalling it but weirdly, DIM is not seeing it as missing. I have DAZ Studio installed on my D drive and had the PostreSQL there too. Does my head in the way DAZ wants stuff installed on C Drive - library etc. Takes forever to go through and check that it hasn't reverted. Any ideas why it's decided not to see my Postgre in the first place, and why now the DIM won't recognise that it's not there? I have no idea where to go and download it! - Thanks! - And yes, I have rebooted both the programme and the computer several times :)

What security software are you using? If you look in Task Manager while DS is running do you see lots of postgresql processes (in the details tab for Windows 10, in the Processes tab for Windows 7)?
Hi Richard, just checked - with DS open, absolutely no SQL or postgresql running in the Task Manager processes at all. I think my firewall is just the Windows one... I do have AVG Security running but can't see that it says firewall anywhere...
I'm pretty sure AVG will include a firewall. Try disconnecting from the net, then turn AVG off and see if DS wills tart without complaining about a missing PostgreSQL.
I have AVG. If you have the full paid version (AVG Internet Security), it includes a firewall; if you have the free version (either Avast or AVG Antivirus Free), it doesn't have a firewall.
I have Windows 7 with AVG Internet Security paid version and I don't remember having to do anything to AVG to let Studio function normally. When AVG blocks outgoing connections, it also normally puts up an alert, so if it were blocking Studio, you should know.
What happens when you tell Studio to "Start CMS" from the hamburger menu on the Content Library tab? If the issue is that Studio can't find the database content cluster, that should give some sort of error message in the workspace, I think. Otherwise, if it still doesn't start, there should be something in the Troubleshooting log file.
PostgreSQL can be downloaded from your product library at https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_18869
Thanks both - vwrangler, your comments got me thinking on various tracks and I seem to have it all running again, many thanks! (I have the professional version of AVG and you're right, that wasn't it.)
