Multiple Photos Messing Up In Forums-

I am SO frustrated! I noticed an hour ago that when I post images (say 15 through 20) and I do them in order, the forum is scrambling them BADLY. they appeared like this- 18, 16, 17, 19, 15- and no, they were NOT small enough that one got put side by side. They are all dropped down, one by one. I redid them twice (and am quite experienced posting forum photos) so just a heads up if you are doing things that have to be in order (like my tutorial, which is now a screeching HALT) and if you're making comments- make sure your comment goes to the correct image!

It's a weekend and it won't get fixed anytime soon I suppose.

    ... in the end, in order to get five in a row in the order I needed, I had to make sure the filenames I used to upload would be in "ascending" order, AND to ignore the order that the Preview was showing them to me in - it would put them in (roughly) preview-reverse order - so I had to upload them in the order that I _did_ want them in X). Deleting the images and re-Previewing them didn't help - hence why I had to start a new post once I'd figured out what was necessary.

    Thanks for the tip- but I'd tried the reverse order thing- and it did them the same way (18, 16, 17, 19, 15) There's no way for 17, 19, 15 to be affected going forward or backward, 18 got totally removed and plopped in front as number one! I also checked to be sure there were no small images to go side by side, and these are all wide and go single file down the page. Wonder how many other people have things out of whack now and don't know it.

    I've found numbering them starting with a "0" or "00" first helps. Size plays a part as well, but that's the surprize element.
    And sadly yes, if in one post the images get truly mixed up, only solution is to make a new post. I normally upload them 'in order' and 'usually' [except when it really matters] they appear in the correct order.

    o.0 ?!? ... is it sorting largest size to smallest as well? Or just the overall total size (which I believe the running size total is listed in a small label on the Preview screen).

    It's just a quirk I've noticed that a 'little' picture that should be 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the line up tends to become the 5th one. If they are too little one will get 2 on a row.

    And as Patience55 points out the SIZE of the files matter, for best results keep them all close to the same resolution.
