I don't understand it

Hiro 4 installer won't even come up. The zip doesn't have the files...so I"m at a loss on why the installer isn't working.

I was sort of hoping to GenX over the morphs from Hiro, Aiko, Freak

H4 F4 and all the other male 4 shapes are Morphs of M4. So first M4 must be installed. You then install all the other male shapes into the same BASE content folder.

EDIT: All the Female 4 shapes are V4 morphs so the same applies. V4 first then A4 in the same content folder...

Seeing as M4 is installed...always been installed...that' s not the issue

The PROBLEM is, that the installers aren't even coming up

What do you mean by 'not coming up'?

Do you have the installer Hiro4 installer on your machine? Is it an EXE installer, or a ZIP file?

If this is an EXE installer, then it may be corrupted, or something on your machine is not allowing it to run. Is it an EXE, and are you running it as Admin? What OS are you using, and when did you get the installer?

yes..I'm running it as the admin...and it's windows 8, but that shouldn't be the issue because Girl installed, and if the file is corrupt, then it's corrupt on the site because I redownloaded and still give me issues

Is the file that you are trying to install called 8070_1_dpc_Hiro4Base.EXE, if so, what size is it EXACTLY, you may not have it all.

There is also a ZIP file of the Hiro 4 Base whcih is labelled as DIM in green, and if you cannot get the installer to work, you should download it, and install the contents yourself.

That's not always true, Browser caching can cause files to terminate at the same place over and over. Also the Version of the installer can be different from H4 to Girl, just because one is Win8 friendly does not make them all Win8 compatable.

    ....Yes, it's the same size

And if it's not windows 8 compatible...then they need to...because if they haven't noticed, Windows 8 had been around for a while

I don't know if the installers are incompatible with Windows 8, but the fix is to use the DAZ Install Manager or the zips. Hiro 4 Base is showing in DIM for me, an installs correctly, so it should have a zip in the product library.

For the older .exe installers that only brings up a little window in Win8, do this:

    1. Select file, right click, select "Troubleshoot compatibility"
    2. Win8 analyzes the file then click on "Try recommended setting".
    3. Next screen, click on "Test the program..."
    3. The installer will launch, proceed as normal.

Edit: This is for the .exe installer.

I don't...understand how the zip file even works. All it has is a Resource folder and MCOS folder, doesn't seem to have any sort of morph files or anything

Not those zips, those are Mac installers. The files labeled DIM are zips with no installer, just the content files.
