There is a very nice Time Machine model by London224 which is based on the classic HG Wells film (2002 version). I'd give a link but it is at the other place.

3DAge - wow, thank you very much.  Can have some fun with that!

I am throwing together another familiar setting.  It needs a few more model elements, but then I will share it as an educational exercise for procedural shaders.  In other words, I will uvmap it, but I won't apply any shaders.

If anyone wants to jump through the stone portal to let Joan Collins get run over by a Depression Era car, here you go.  As the title of the file says, the shaders suck.

    Thanks for sponsoring Tango Alpha.

I love all of your stuff especially as it works as intended in Carrara.

Anybody remember "Voyagers!", and the Omni?

“If the Omni is red, it means history is wrong. Our job is to get everything back on track.” – Voyager Phineas Bogg

I loved that show! I had forgotten all about it until you posted this but now that you've reminded me, I had to go looking. Season 1 is currently available for streaming ($14.99 may be a bit steep though if you don't remember it as fondly as I do) from Amazon US https://www.amazon.com/Voyagers/dp/B008TCF7WW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1521387213&sr=8-1&keywords=voyagers+tv+show.

Land Of The Lost re-ran here on free tee-vee several years ago...what a blast from the past!

    I hope it counts! :

    http://landofthelost.wikia.com/wiki/Pylon

    Quoting...

"Pylons are part of the fundamental infrastructure of the Land of the Lost; when the light crystals on their crystal matrix tables are tampered with, all manner of effects on the Land can be produced. Examples include causing storms, opening and closing time doorways, triggering earthquakes, and even manipulating the rate at which celestial bodies travel through the sky. Pylons appear to have specialized functions; a "Weather Pylon" controls rain, a "clock Pylon" controls the movement of celestial bodies. The synchronization of the pylons with heavenly bodies is also seen in "Pylon Express"; one pylon only opens when the three moons are aligned."

There was that novel series on the river.

in Pern novels they time it back to the start of threadfalls.

That is a great thought, Selina.

Here is another thought.  Could time be a highway with multiple lanes?

I think I'm stuck on the roundabout!

do you ever watch or read the news and hear about the demise of a personality but think hangon... he/she died years ago, I remember it! how can this be....

    very strange!
