DIM sees installed content as "ready to Download."

I did a few searches with various terms to see if that would solve my problem.  A few promising titles typically ended up to be someone who can't see their content in DAZ.  Muy content and categories are allt here, fine, in DAZ.  Why complain at all then?  I really wish my DIM, which used to tell me how manythings I had installed, still does that.  After moving my library to a different drive, (and yes, I updated the lcoations both in Studio and in DIm, and triple-checked to make sure they are the same), I can see the content in Studio jsut fine, but only the things I've downloaded in DIM since the move show up as installed.  I can also find those new downloads in Studio adn they are going to the right place on the disk.  The other 2k files that are installed are listed as "ready to download" instead of installed.  Is thre any way to fix this other than downloading for a day or three?

Thank you.  I didn't mean to sound offputting, but I wanted to show that I checked all the boxes that would be a logical first course of action before asking for help.  Thanks to anyone who helps or tries in advance!

Did you delete or move the Manifests folder from the Install Manager folder in Public Documents, or from the location you set as an override in the account.ini file (or Mac equivalent) if you weren't using the defaults? DIM does not use the Content Management Service to track installs so its "perception" may differ from that of DS.

  • Unless you're on a metered connection, set it to download all while you're asleep or at work. When you're done, it's done.

Oh, I probably did move the stuff from the manifests.  IS there a way to set the DIM to look for them in teh new location?  Can I just move them back without moving the downloads?

You can move the Manifests folder (not the .dsx files in the Downloads folder, those are diffrent) back. You can also set a new folder to be used by editing the account.ini file in C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Daz 3D\InstallManager\UserAccounts, setting

    OverrideManifestDir=

to the desired location - using / as the folder separator.

That worked, changing the .ini file.  Thanks.  Now it's much easier to figue out what is and isn't installed, and I'm not putting the downloads or manifest files on the small solide-state drive anymore.
