How to supress news popup when starting Hexagon

Is there a way to supress the new news popup when starting Hexagon and go right to work? It is a maddening little nuissance.

    In Edit > Preference Editor > User Interface > Misc is an option labeled "Check Hexagon news."

    In Edit > Preference Editor > User Interface > Misc is an option labeled "Don't show the same news twice."

    In the bottom left corner of the Hexagon News dialog is an option labeled "Don't show the same news twice."
