Issue: IDG Iray Essentials - Daz Horse 2 and Centaur 7

Hello,
I purchased this item a while back. I own the Horse 2 and have successfully rendered it without issue. I own and have installed the 'Centaur 7 Male Hides and Breeds' and the 'Centaur 7 Female Hides and Breeds'. When I try to use the IDG Iray Essentials, I get the message that there are missing files.
I do admit the Iray Essentials package indicates it requires the Horse 2 bundle. I do not own the whole bundle. I have the horse figure. Why would I need props that are unrelated to the Horse hide textures for the product to work properly?
The folder structure it is looking for is 'runtime/textures/daz/animals/horse 2/filenamehere.jpg' This does not exist on my computer. My content directories do not contain that folder structure either. So I did some searching. I found that the product (Iray Essentials) installed into my DAZ Connect Library. Problem is, all the image files are PNG. None of them are JPG.
How do I fix the JPG references to PNGs?
I did enter a ticket for this but .. have been having over a month response time there. :)

Hi,
In fact, DAZ Horse 2 textures are JPG.
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/15246/file_list
So if 'runtime/textures/daz/animals/horse 2/' doesn't exist, that means DAZ Horse 2 isn't installed.
Probably because the starter and pro bundle each include breed morphs and materials not included with the base horse...
Hello,
I own: DAZ Horse 2; DA Unicorn for DAZ Horse 2; DA Foal and Poses for DAZ Horse 2; Horse Accessories; Western Saddle for DAZ Horse 2 and IDG Iray Essentials - DAZ Horse 2 and Centaur 7. The only one not working is the IDG Iray Essentials and I was just told by DAZ Support that the artist of the product Iray Essentials decided it was necessary for customers to own all the extra stuff in the DAZ Horse Bundle in order to be able to load skins succesfully. I can't believe the artist would do that deliberately.
Here is an honest question, please don't take this the wrong way. Is it possible to have something no installed yet be able to render images with the item? I am not being rude. I've loaded the DAZ Horse 2 multiple times. I've made a unicorn render which relies on Horse 2. I've never gotten an error until I tried to use the IDG Iray Essentials package.
I do not, admittedly, have the whole horse package. I have every item that relates to a horse and breed. I do not understand why I have to pay $50+ to own a barn yard, english saddle, wagon trail, wagon trail 2, western gear, and three kinds of armor in order to be able to apply a skin texture.
This doesn't seem on the up and up. Am I being unresasonable? I am not good with the absurdity of this situation.
If this is user error, I'm willing to report back. But I'm not sure how it could be. I'll go through my steps again and uninstall/reinstall DAZ horse and all the related items. I'd love to report back that everything is fine, there was a hitch in the install that worked itself out.
Stay tuned.
@illysArt
Do you understand Leana's and NoahLGP's responses? IDG Iray essentials probably doesn't work because you don't have the different breeds that are foubnd in the Pro and Starter bundles. If DAZ Support's reply was exactly as you stated, then they over staated the requirement.
Those breeds relate to the various coats. IDG Iray essentials doesn't care about the wagon's barding, etc, but the different breeds will matter because the package is supporting all of the coats/hides.
I do not have the Pro Bundle either, but I DO have the folder structure that NoahLGP quotes. If you do not have this structure, then Horse2 is not installed.
Hello,
@Fastbike1 I would love for this to be my own user error. Thank you for trying to find the solution. When looking at the DAZ Horse 2 Pro Bundle, there is no package that I see on the list that refers to breeds. I've checked that multiple times. If I have overlooked a package included with that bundle, please let me know. I really don't understand the idea that the Horse 2 is not installed based on the smart content window saying it is and allowing me to add the Horse 2 to my scene.
Regarding DAZ Support's comment as they closed my ticket (which I reopened twice, the second time with a distinct lack of diplomacy not included in the screen shot) is attached since I felt that requirement was overstated as well.
The other screen shot is my Smart Content pane showing the installed packages I own. I have a custom location within DAZ Studio defined to install my content. Here are the file paths to each package:
F:\3DContent\My DAZ Connect Library\data\cloud\1_15246\runtime\textures\daz\animals\horse 2 ..(contains files noted by NoahLGP)
F:\3DContent\My DAZ Connect Library\data\cloud\1_37317\runtime\textures\daz\characters\genesis3\dazcentaur

Thanks for trying to help. I really hope I'm missing something stupid.
The product page for Daz Horse Pro Bundle says :
The DAZ Horse 2 Pro Bundle is by far the best value for acquiring the exquisitely modeled, rigged and textured DAZ Horse 2. This bundle includes everything in the DAZ Horse 2 base product, everything in the DAZ Horse 2 Starter Bundle AND 5 additional breed shapes, additional texture sets, poses, armor sets, saddle textures, wagon and hand-cart accessories and more.
So, I believe you probably do need the pro bundle to fully use the IDG product for those textures.
My product library shows that additional content as part of the Daz Horse 2 Pro Bundle I own. The extra content is not a separate product, so it isn't listed as an included "product" on the store page. It is only referenced in the text I quoted above.
Thanks for the input. I was looking for a package of breeds. I did not expect DAZ to hide products in a bundle like that and restrict purchase to the entire bundle itself. Typically you can puchase pieces of the bundle itself separately. I don't think it's fair to force such a huge investment when I have all the other things including the figure itself.
I don't feel like paying that much extra just to use one product and if that is how DAZ is going to roll, I don't need this product. I'll ask for my money back on the IDG product.
Thanks @barbult for explaining it that way. Disappointing but I understood you. The others were probably saying the same thing and I just wasn't getting it.
You could add the Horse 2 Pro Bundle to your wishlist and keep your eye out for future sales. Since it is an older Daz Origial, it may show up in a super discount or free item category in the future. I got it in November 2016 for less than $5! So hope is not lost.
I'd say 99% of the time, bundles do not have bundle-only content. You just got caught by one of the few that do. Chalk it up to live and learn.
It is. I just cant stomach purchasing it right now.
Thanks again!
