Morph Loader Pro - how to deal with geografts?

Im using a commercial geograft product with its own morph dials, and have a pose applied.

Now I want to overlay a custom morph to the geograft. I can't unparent the graft, since that causes it to reset to zero pose.

Surely, there must be a way to use the active pose and active dial settings as a source obj for Blender?

I can do this fine for the base genesis, but the graft will not cooperate. I believe I'm missing some understanding of how DS wants me to import and export the graft when it's not in default state.

  • After some research and toying about, it appears this process works:

    1. switch to geometry editor in order to ensure genesis shows all faces
    2. select genesis and hide in scene
    3. select graft figure and export obj
    4. select genesis figure and export, check "ignore hidden faces"
    5. import graft to hex and model the morph (use genesis obj as reference if needed, but ensure to no accidentally export it also), then export obj
    6. IMPORTANT: select graft figure, not genesis
    7. import graft obj in MLPro, set reverse deformations=yes; load morphs for: primary figure (vertex only)
    8. presto: dial is active for the graft, in current morph set and pose
