I've been adding Gen2 compatibility to Gen1 clothes by folder. It only needs to be done one time.

As an example, to process the Journeyer Scout outfit:

    1. Go to the Genesis>Clothing>Journeyer Scout
    2. Launch the Content DB Editor from the Active Pane Options fly-out menu
    3. Drag/Select all of the items in the Assets window.
    4. In the lower window, select the Compatibility Tab, Drag/Select all items
Right Click, Select "Add Compatibilities to Selected File(s)" and select "Genesis 2", Click Accept
    5. Click Accept to close the Content DB Editor.

I'm selecting Genesis 2 at root level at the moment if it's a unisex outfit, thinking when Gen 2 Male comes, I won't have to add it to the clothing's compatibility list. If it's a female outfit, I've been selecting Genesis 2/female.

We have needed to show up content which can auto-fit with genesis1.
but the auto-fit compatibility are different by each user.
without clone of the figure, we can not use auto-fit.
and as for me, not few items want not to be shown as reall usable auto-fit items.

so that I think, we need to add compatibility with by myself.if hope so.
I simply hope daz release Free DB editor tool which easy add compatibility with
    and categorize with many option.

I think,, these problem depend on the Content DB editor of ds.

it is not easy to tweak many different Assets of data at same time.

eg in editor, I may hope to serch items by compatibility with only.
we can serch items in smat content by compatibiltiym, but in DB editor, we can not do it.
    it limit much usability.

I seldom check on root category, so that I can not serch by category without digging down
    hieralchies in contentlibrary too.

we can not order accessory only, in Content library, or Content DB.
we may need to serch by fle type too.

basically every column need to be seen with the option.

if we can edit more flexible about CMS DB , we can manage user customized compatibility more easy.

the basic of meta-data is we can only show which we need or adaptable items when select item in 3d view.
and we need to easy modify them. "compatibility with" is key as same as "category" in content library.

Frankly, its better if the devs do it once rather than ALL of us doing it for every item.

This is something they really need to address as it ostensib;ly breaks functionality of ds studio and hinders workflow.

I would be very surprised if that happened..
