Daz 4.6 and .dsv file formats?

I upgraded from 4.0 to 4.6 today and it won't open any of the Genesis models. All of my geometry files have the .dsv extension and Daz keeps looking for .dsf extensions. It keeps popping up file not found errors because of this. I did all of the installations but still nothing is working. Even when I try to open the files manually through the File menu it won't even display my .dsv files as daz files. I also have one Genesis.duf file that it won't open, either. What on earth do I have to do to fix this issue? I can't use a single add on for Genesis if I can't get it to load in the first place. I can't find anything in the forum about .dsv file formats, either.

.dsv are not geometries, .dsf is correct. Did you install Genesis Starter Essentials?

Yes, I used the auto installer and also manually downloaded and unzipped. It seems all of the .dsf files are in a different location but when I tried to copy and paste them into the correct file location I now get a message saying, "an error occurred while reading the file. See the log file for more details." I can't even find the log file. I've looked in both the Daz folder in program files and in my documents. This used to be so much simpler. I've never had problems until now.

.dsf are the hidden data file, .duf are the visible user files. Make sure you aren't confusing them. If you used the DAZ Install Manager for the Genesis Starter Essentials, make sure it installed to the folder you use for your content or that you add the folder it did install to as a DAZ Studio Content Directory. Going from DS4.0 to 4.6, you will probably need to go to Edit>Preferences>Scene and change the start up scene from genesis.dsf to genesis.duf.

Thank you! :) I did a new manual install to the folder I use for my content and edited my preferences. That's the step I was missing. Now everything works. Thanks!
