What are the "Hidden" properties for G8?

So, I made a nice facial expression for me ol' G8 figure, and went to save it just like I do with G3, and encountered a new properties tree called "Hidden" (See attached image). What are these properties used for, and should I leave them checked when I'm saving my pose?
