How do I light this up so I can see what is there?

So I recently got the Foxy Lounge.  I am excited to use it, but how do I?  There are "Preload" and a "Ready to Render"open options.  I tried both and results are the same.  The place is so dark I can't see anything (see attachment).  I tried putting in my model, but could not see her or hair or clothes or anything.  If I hit 'Render', then the lighting is fine and I can see everything, but I can't move around my model or anything without computer crash.  I know this is probably easy but I don't know what to do to illuminate the place when I am in 'Actor/Wardrobe/Prop' mode?

Thanks for your help!

If you are on a PC, try Ctrl-L - this will may give you a preview  more light in the viewport so you can see your way around.

Not sure what the shortcut is on a Mac.

To be pedantic, Previwe Lights is on by default and hitting cmd/ctrl-L turns it off, repalcing it with a headlight-like effect. If the darkness is down to the texturing then switching to Smooth Shaded view mode (cmd/ctrl-7 by default, it's the spehere icon next to the camera picker at top-right) may also be an option.
