Hello,

is there a way to fit Genesis Textures to Genesis 2 Female respectively Victoria 6 ?
Every time i Load Texture to V6 it Looks like the Picture below.

Tryed it with the Texture of Brijitte, don't know if it is a V5 Texture or a V4 Texture, but even change the UV Set to V5 or Basic Female don't fit to Genesis 2 Female.

Import V4 UV Set brings up an Error. My Workflow:
Go to the Surface Tab
Select the Figure
Go to Submenu > Load UV Set...
Go to the Runtime/Geometries Folder
Select blMilWom_v4b.obj

Then a Dialog tells me to give the new UV Set a Name

Give it a Name, for example: UV Set V4

Now the Error Pops up:

"The UV map selected was invalid."

What am I doing wrong?

you have to buy this product http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female for most of the V4 textures to work. textures made for genesis can be saved as a material, then applied and it should work, at least it works for me.

    Hello,

click on the skin of someone with it on, and then click save as materials. here is a picture i took for you, showing the menu.

if your trying to get old genesis textures, on to new genesis, then the materials you save should be from and on old genesis, when you save

Ok, thanks, that worked for me.

    Genesis to Genesis2

Is this also possible with the V4/V3 Textures if i have GenX and V4 and V3 Shapes of Victoria?

V4 (and M4 & K4) textures work on Genesis 1, but 3rd Generation textures do not -- you would need an external tool like Texture Converter 2 to rewrite the maps to match the V4 UVset. The iconic shapes have nothing to do with UVsets; nor does GenX.

I'm done the same thing that was suggested here while trying to apply Wanow's Skin Material for Black and White http://www.sharecg.com/v/66225/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/Skin-Material-for-Black-and-White-Skin-DS4.5 and I get those white areas. As you can see in the screen shot I've converted it to a material, so is there something I'm doing wrong? I've tried this with other material presets for Genesis and have received the same results (when they are saved as .duf files). Do I still need Victoria 4 to Genesis 2 plugin, even though I'm trying to transfer a Genesis 1 material?

Since it doesn't say Victoria 5 is needed, it probably uses the default Genesis UVset, which is V4, so you do need the V4 to G2F product. Alternatively, if you own Victoria 5, you could use the Map Transfer feature in DS to convert it to the V5 UVset.

I've also tried switching to the Female Genesis UVs and get the same white spots... and thats the only thing I changed on a default Genesis...is something wrong with my install?
