V6 Pro Bundle Freebies only available for ONE DAY after purchase?

Maybe the wording is misleading on the page. I dont know. I'm irritated after dropping $90 on this pro bundle to find out the 'free stuff' I get with it I have to MANUALLY add to my cart and checkout with EVERY SINGLE DAY for two bloody weeks?

I'm out of luck on 2 already because I have stuff to do instead of sitting on daz's website every single day.

I feel completely manipulated and turned off after buying a product from DAZ now. It has already been over 6 months since my previous purchase and at this rate, I won't make another one until I forget how much DAZ manipulates and bamboozles their customers.

Edit - I got the pro bundle specifically for the extra - extra freebies. In the past DAZ would just attach these to your account when you bought the right stuff. I have so much junk in my DIM that I never bought. So why the change? I'm seriously feeling screwed over.

UGH. N/A in this case. What can customer service do to fix the situation the OP outlined?

This defacto response to almost everything that is related to a complaint by a poster is getting old. OP's know that... but they want to SHARE their experience, Sharing complaints and annoyances here also lets others who feel the same, know trey are not alone. Also visibility gives the company the motivation to improve rather than manage a situation.

SUPPORT TICKETS are not a proactive remedy to a situation. Support should be applied to fix exceptions to the process. It should not BE THE PROCESS.

I don't know what their response would be but it's the best suggestion I have that might help the OP get the free items missed.

Uhm.. I found it quite easily to understand that the freebies would only be there for one day each... and if you missed one, you had missed it. I honestly felt they were clear on that

They had been a bit bad with writing out that you had to put them in the cart first, but they have actually changed that now. It says something along the lines that they will be free on checkout

You really spent 90 bucks, just to get some freebies, that you don't even know what they will be?

I'm not in a position to know what CS is actually doing for these situations, but yes, contacting them is the only way to get satisfaction and normally they are very good about correcting wrongs, real or perceived.

I could get the standard bundle, or the middle bundle. I didn't have to get the pro but getting 11 more freebies with it sure makes the $90 price tag a lot more valuable to me.

Besides, where's today's freebie? When I look at the page the freebie offer for June 24 is blank!

    It's the Loading Dock

The link is on one of the slides at the top of the New Release page.

Aye, got them all so far... I wonder if I'll get a full house of products I already have, LOL

But for anybody who didn't have them, they are quality items.

(I would normally put a smiley about now, but they're still on strike)

Thanks for posting about today's item. i was about to make a thread asking what the deal. Todays item is the first one that I do not already own. I might even be able to use this, so thats good stuff.

This one I got already... My luck was yesterday - the only item I didn't have so far were those tables from 23rd.

If you're PC member you'll do well not to purchase all the DAZ Originals you like and leave some for monthly $6 or for occasions like this. But I couldn't follow my own advice (smiley goes here)...

the free items were actually the deciding factor for me, after the price went up i wasn't going to get the bundle but decided i'd go for the freebies and if they aren't worth it then i'd put in a ticket to return all the freebies as well as the pro bundle, as i'm stll unsure about V6, i sorta like genesis 2, just waiting for a Daz or a vendor to release products to be able to use the generation 5 textures on genesis 2

As a result of the "bad writing" I tried putting the first day's freebie in my cart. It did not show a price of zero so I didn't go through with that purchase. Can anyone really argue that the cart here is quite buggy? So, I'm out a freebie after dropping the cash. Not the first time that's happened to me.

I did open a support ticket, but seeing as 15 days haven't passed yet, I've had no response.

I can understand your frustrationGreybro. I too had a hard time finding out the first day, but than I tried as I figured I could always take it away before hitting complete at check out. And when reaching check out it were set for free. After that, which I assume is cause people remarked on it, they did change the text to say it will be set free at checkout.

But yes, that first day was a bit of a struggle and I did write that in my comment, most of my comment were the fact that they were (in my eyes) very clear that the freebies were on a day by day basis.

I do hope that it will be solved for you *smiles*

Thanks. Yes, the text changed cleared it up, but anyone who missed it the first day should have it added to their downloads. The mistake was caused by unclear instructions. I think that's pretty evident.

I'm in complete agreement and the freebies were what tipped me over as well.

Yes, that would be a very fair thing to do since I think there were quite a few that did miss that first day

It's still not there on the page, but I managed to grab the item for free nevertheless. And that was great, because it was a wannahave which has been sitting on my wishlist for a while.

    Thanks,Linda!

For the record, support hooked me up with the freebie I wasn't able to get to show for free on the first day.

Support usually bends over backwards if you're having issues with the site, with promos, with anything reasonable. They chose to run the promo this way so people would have a compelling reason to buy early, not later. So far as DAZ not just dumping everything in your account, think of the programming to set a different amount of items going into people's accounts depending on the day something was bought.

They didn't have to even offer a promotion, and these items haven't been cheap. I'm grateful they're even offered for folks. I've only gotten 2 of them, and I bought Day One, but they totaled about 16.00. If you only get one, or two, that's more than if they didn't offer them at all. As usual, they bungled the beginning of the promo, weren't clear as to how to get the items, but they are making it right.

And if someone doesn't want to surf in and get the freebie, then don't, but it's a LOT easier for us to do that then for DAZ to program such a mess into the cart (different freebie pile depending on when V6 purchased) when they have other discounts and functions programmed in. I don't want MY cart and everyone else's screwed with that way! I do understand the inconvenience of remembering to surf in, but I'm on DAZ's side in this issue. They're making the first day vague-ness right, so all's good. File a ticket if you miss that first day, after that, it's on you and it should be.

This was actually a pretty good promotion for PC Members - the V6 Pro Bundle with the monthly coupon applied came to $46.58 - the Loading Dock & Subway Station were great freebies - I already had the Barn which is a great prop... and the Living Room was a prior freebie (but to those that missed it is a good pickup)... the other items so far may be useful later... And there's still 4 more days to go... (just have to remember to take a quick look)... I think I can reasonably anticipate one more that will be a great pickup (as opposed to good)...

I wouldn't mind more of these promotions... it presents a good opportunity to expand your libraries...

Except that a few of these items have already been included in previous Pro bundles. And half were previously free items.

The ones that you've bought, DAZ has no way of knowing. I already owed a couple of thse myself, but I can't blame them for that. Including items that were previously free is a little shady in my estimation. Any hardcore sight user like myself already has those.

And my point is that if you are going to promote freebies as an incentive to purchase, they should at least be related to the original purchase. Not just random old items.

In the past these freebies might have been minor morphs for V6, a texture, a set of poses for V6, or such.

So nothing drastically expensive, but at least directly connected for use with the new product.

They may be catering to new users- and the fact that there are hundreds of new ones every few- what, months? Weeks? I've always been curious about that. But also, as the OP mentioned, even folks who have been around for years may not surf in every day, and some freebies were also "quickies." The variety has been good though.
