no fit, but same shape

An object I have loaded in the scene and is fit and parented to G3F. If I duplicate the object, unparented it and fit it to none, it loses its shape.
How can I keep its shape without fit to G3F?

One way would be to make everything in the scene except the object invisible, then export as an .obj, at base resolution. Then import the .obj and convert to SubD if needed. Hide or delete the original object. You can copy/paste the materials to the new object.
Thank you for your answer. When I export the object, G3F is also exported, even if it is hidden. I want to have that object alone, but in the shape that he had when he was fit to G3F.
By default hidden items are not exported - click the More Options at the bottom of the OBJ export options dialogue and make sure that Ignore Hidden is checked.
Ignore Invisible Nodes is checked. That doesn't mean that when I import the object I also care about a second G3F. I guess it's because my object is still fit to G3F.
Ignore Invisible should work, otherwise we wouldn't be able to export clothing to make fix morphs. How are you hiding the Genesis 3 Female figure?
First unparented my object of G3F, but it continues fit to G3F, because if it doesn't lose its shape, which is what I want to keep. Then I hide everything in the scene, except my object, which I export as obj.
When I import the obj file, I get all the duplicates (cams, lights, G3F and the object fit to G3F). There's my problem. Nothing's changed, except now I've got everything duplicated.
I hide the other objects by clicking on the eye of the scene.
Problem solved. Thanks for your help!
