This on Daz3.
My LIE used to work fine but I did a windows reinstall and installed the LIE that I purchased from Daz store but when I go to surfaces tab and look where the color diffuse option is, (pic1) the little black triangle on the side of that is not showing which would normally lead to a list of options which would contain the LIE option. I don't get why as I think I installed it fine (pic 2)
Any advice here? is there another way it can show up? thx.

I think that was one that has a serial key to be entered. Hopefully it's still on your Serial Keys page in your account.
It does not ever ask me to enter one, not even on installation. You sure? where would I enter it?

Yes I'm sure 'cause there's one in my account. I don't have 3.x on this computer; but I think it's under Help > about plugins > and somewhere in there should be a place to enter it.
If you go to help - the select About Installed Plugins. you will see which plugins have been registered and which have not, next to those that have not you will find the register click on that and add the S/N you may need to restart DAZ Studio for it to fully take.
(As you can see on the pc I took this screen cap I forgot to register any of my DS3 plugins)
i used the LIE for the first time in ages last night, and while the option comes up, on the LIE interface itself, there is no drop down arrow on the "resource" bit. Where you can browse to find the image. This is using DS 4.6 Pro. Has something broken in the LIE recently?
Push it (click on it), it's a button.
The LIE was a plugin beginning with DS2 and into 3. I think the LIE was part of DS3A. I checked my product page and I have it as a separate purchase from Oct 2007 during the PC anniversary. It has installers for DS2 and DS3. I have a serial code for it as well. I know that many of the serials for DS2 plugins worked in DS3 as well.
Nope, LIE is a Plugin for DS3A also. Only DS4 has it built in.
I have to agree here, my screencap is from DS3A and as you see above it wants an S/N
You want me to remember that far back as to what got added when and how? Really, now? Next thing you know you'll want me to do my own taxes.

Heresy.
Nope, nothing.
It says:
resource: none
i can't browse to any image or anything to put on the texture
I'm using 4.6 which is why I was wondering if something had happened to it.

If I load the LIE when selecting the grey Genesis figure, I get the same as you, Resource says 'None' and there are no other options of any kind. However, if I load something with a texture map, when I call up LIE, under Resources is the name of the texture, and when I click on it I get two oprions, Browse... and None.
Browse takes me to a AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\DAZ Built-in Content folder for some reason, but of course, I can change that. None changes it to None as you would expect, but if I click on None now, I get a Browse... option as well.

ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh. i'm an idiot. :headdesk:
I was loading the V4 bodysuit (not a figure). It doesn't have a texture as default, just a diffuse colour. I didn't even THINK of that. LOL.
Thanks JimmyC! I shall now curl up under my desk and hang my head in shame. LOL
Don't feel too bad, that wasn't my intention, but I thought I should let you know.
I have done much sillier things, but I am never going to tell.
