Three Headed Dog? (I'm new to Daz)

So, I found a character I want to create - a three headed dog.

I found this one that is already provided by Daz - https://www.daz3d.com/doubled

The problem I'm running into with it, even though I haven't purchased yet, is that it's 2 headed and iRay. (I found out yesterday that my machine's graphics card is weak, so I have to save up for a new machine) So im the meantime, I'm rendering in 3Delight.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about making this character?

The usual approach would be three dogs, with only the necks and heads visible for two.

Take Fluffy, for example, just play him a bit of music and he falls straight asleep.. I shouldn't have told you that.

  • @th3Digit - interesting. I’m actually still trying to figure out how to make Poser items work in my Daz. For example, last night I wanted to put a bow in my GF8 hair and it wouldn’t go on. Another topic for another thread, but still good to know. Thanks!

@Richard - can I parent the two extra heads to one dog figure and make my own and save as a character preset?

Yes, except for the Character preset - a Scene Subset would work. You'd probably want to parent the head/neck dogs to the chest or neck of the full dog.

This is a nice lil' figure.  I can say that as I own it.  As noted in the promos, each head can be morph into three different overall shapes, a lupine (wolf-like) form, a square, block-like head (A mastiff which was a noted breed from that period) and for "shiggles" a pop-eyed chihuahua.  You can also mix the forms for unique looks.  It also has collars linked with chains that can be posed to anchor to a crumbling column prop, great for staging a Tartarus scene.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

"Two-headed dog, two-headed dog, I been workin' in the Kremlin with a two-headed dog!"  ["Two-headed dog", Roky Erickson & the Explosives]

Uh ... sorry about that. Got a little carried away.
