Hardware devices to control parameters

I would like to use some external hardware device such as an xbox controller or AKAI midi slider to be assigned to DAZ 3D parameters (such as tranlate parameters)
I cannot find anything on this through my searches, and "controllers" seems to mean something else in the DAZ context.
Unity allows me to write code to control a game object. Is there a similar object that can be manipulated in daz script?
If there is, then an example script would be a great starting point.
TIA

Maybe mCasual has written such a script. Look in freebies forum section for his posts. He has sites with an amazing amount of scripts and other creations.
Sounds like an interesting idea but most people will just use the sliders or enter numbers for changes. You could send in a support ticket and ask for this to be a new feature. They might listen.
Thanks for the ref. Lots of good stuff on that site. The midi keyboardist might give insight, but I have not found precicely what Im looking for there yet.
It might help if I elaborate the idea a bit.
I'm looking to pose a figure using some external device quickly in comparison to some image (put on a reference plane surface).
I want to tweak an assignable set of properties such as bend, twist, side-to-side, for such as lower neck, upper neck and head, and the reference image opacity.
I can click through to these parameters and play with the values, but the number of iterations needed to get it right impedes the process.
Instead, I would prefer to use some hardware device that allows me to twiddle with the parameters intuitivly.
Something like the Korg NanoKontrol offers hope (although it only has 8 sliders) whereby I could assign lower neck to the first three sliders and so on or whatever. XBox controller is another option.
Its unlikely that a script exists, but I could attempt to write one, so it would be helpful if there was any info on how to read a value from such a device, and apply it to a chosen parameter.
There was a company in Japan (e-frontier?) that briefly made a full human shaped Digital Input Device that could control a Poser type figure, so the basic process can be done. That said, I think DID development has really dropped off since mo-cap got so cheap with the kinnect and the leap.
Maybe this is what you are looking for:
Wonder if MJCasual will update the mcjHIDKit script to work with the Logitech G13 GamePad.
