    Awesome pic I found ^^

I find it awesome for a variety of reasons:
    -Game I love
    -characters I love
    -Awesome shading
    -Giant snake
    -Stuff!

The character in front with the sword is Tenshi, a Celestial. The one floating by the snake is the mountain god Kanako.
It's taking a few artistic creativity thingies though... For starters, to my knowledge Tenshi and Kanako have never actually met, let alone fought (Given the background, it appears to be by the Moriya Shrine where Kanako lives, and Tenshi's never been there definitely not even in the game's endings)
Secondly, that giant snake? It's actually a curse god known as a Mishaguji and in canon they answer only to Suwako - they refuse to obey anyone else. Suwako's not in this picture, and it appears to be ordered by Kanako here.

    Anyhoo ^^

...so anything is specifically "Daz" Content (not .dpc or ps) that has a Runtime folder in the installer goes into the My Library/Runtime, not the Content/Runtime folder then.

That might explain the path errors I've been getting.

No, it goes in My Library or in Content - as long as both are selected as DAZ Studio Content Directories.

...so why then is there a Runtime folder under My Library and one in Content? Shouldn't there only be one? this is the kind of i stuff that confuses me.

Name space changed in the 4 release so older installers don't know about My Library. Content/Runtime and My Library/Runtime are equivalent, which is confusing cos there are two distinct hierarchies in the namespace now :o)

"Content" (DS up to version 3) and "My Library" (DS4) and "My DAZ 3D Library" (DIM) are just default names - they have no functional significance (or shouldn't - I think a couple of plug-ins depend on the default location for the application being in use for their registration codes). You can have as many content directories, whatever they are called, as you like and each will have its own \Data and \Runtime folder, assuming it contains content that needs one or both of those. When a file asks for, for example, \Runtime\Textures\Product folder\Image.jpg DS will stick the path to each content directory in front of the partial path and check to see if the file exists - if it does it will load it, if not it will go on to the next content directory until it finds the file or doesn't find the file and complains.

Great, the haze cam screwed up the Breaking Waves and trashed the render. I had to restore an older save. This blows!

I'll load the Fog Tool Deluxe and see if I can get the same effect without the stinking artifacting! (angry face)

...be prepared for extremely long render times. In a recent pic I did it took almost four hours to render with the fog (on my render beast) Rendering without the fog took about 18 min.

You should just be able to delete the fog camera and use the normal default one again.

I'm going to do some experiments today to try to figure out what's going on - there's no obvious reason the haze cam should produce such a bizarre result.

And yeah - I expect a serious increase in render times. Oh well...

Blech, almost 11AM and nothing accomplished but coffee and kind of semi waking up. I have a feeling today will be a VERY slow day.

Watched "Ghost Adventures" last night - interesting. Weird stuff!

Today, fighting with haze and fog. I have to figure out what's going on here.. ugh.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Complaint: Damn you, Dragon Story: New Dawn. Too addictive. And here I was hoping that I could shrug off the lure of computer games for a while. Eh, too hot to do anything but lie in cool dark room anyway... so I just might as well play it with my tablet.

@Misty - cute guy with a horrible taste in beer! (smirk)

IDL really makes renders take forever - I grt to go off and watch TV while I wait Maybe I'll order a pizza and wings to nibble while this thing drags on.

Haze cam + breaking waves works OK, so it's possible that the IDL is the culprit..I'll know in an hour or so (urgh).

    So much to learn, urgh.

transparency mapping tends to cause 3Delight to take a good hit in render times.

Yeah - I've seen that effect with complex transmapped hair, it can get pretty ugly. I should check the scene and see how bad it is, I'm pretty sure I have a pile of transmaps running around in it!

Only solution might be to throw hardware at it until it goes away... urgh.
