Daz Install manager refuses to put files where I need them

I have a small solid state drive for my windows and the most important files no matter what I try in the application's config it always places the manifest files here C:\Users\Public\Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\ManifestFiles I NEED it on my 2 tb external not on my 405gb ssd. On my last install of Daz I was able to do this but I completely forget how to do it a year later. Note, I DID go into settings and change all the directries to where I need them but those pesky manaiest files clog up my SSD and slow it down.

Thanks :D

    Open C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\UserAccounts\Account.ini in a text editor and set the

    OverrideManifestDir=

    to the folder you want, using / as the separator. Mine, for example, is

    OverrideManifestDir=F:/DIM/Manifests

    You can do the same thing for the thumbnails.

    thanks! I wound up moving the public files in the OS using this https://www.urtech.ca/2017/11/solved-move-public-folder-windows-10/ There are other things that clog up the public folder besides Daz. Why apps insist on using the public folder is beyond me. I dont care that is the location that rarely moves. Let the user change everything without jumping through hoops.

    I believe the reason for using the Public folder is, at least in most cases, to make the files available to all users of the machine.
