Emptying Temp files and such

Is there a way to clear out the temp file from within DS? I notice that when I close a scene and create or open a new one, DS gets slow until I just close everything and restart. I thought I saw Richard post something about this including a short-cut, but now I can't find it.

    There isn't a way to clear the folder without doing File>New or restarting DS, or going to the folder and deleting its contents. You can navigate to the folder by going to Edit>Preferences, clicking the ... button to set the path, then (at least in Windows) right-clicking on one of the folders and selecting Open in New Window (then cancel the folder selection window).
