Is it possible to create a .x file of a model with DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro?

Not directly - you would need to export in a format DS does support, then open that in another application and save as .x. Remember that if you are wanting to share a game created DAZ 3D content you will need to buy one or more Game Developer Licenses, and limit the content used to that from vendors covered by the license(s).

Thank you very much for the reply. What kind of application would you suggest to convert the file?

As I recall, Carrara will write to .x - though I haven't had occasion to test that.

The most versatile and complete 3d animated mesh conversion software is (IMO) Ultimate Unwrap 3D. Its way more than just UV unwrapping. You can convert to almost any animated 3d mesh format and even adjust animations, rigging and joint weighting for comparability.

Other perhaps less versatile but "slicker" mesh conversion options include "DeepMesh 3d", and "FragMosoft". And Blender with plugin.

Thank you very much for the help. I guess converting the file with Bryce should be possible, too, right?

    Bryce will import them

Can add no more than that, as it is something I have never tried.

Agreed, but Ultimate Unwrap 3D is $70, you can also use LithUnwrap which is free for the direct X format conversion.

I did manage to save Sonemasons streets of Asia 2 as an .x file from Carrara and open it in MikuMikuDance as a prop
    so know it is possible.
