Adding Text to an iRay render

I want to write text on a plane in a scene that I'm going to iRay render. Essentially it should look like text typed on a illustrated page in a book when the iRay render is done so the text would not be iRay rendered but just drawn as the last step of the render.

I'm guessing DAZ doesn't do this and so I should just use Gimp?
