There is a lot of reflected light.

Is the light on (headlamp), on the Camera?

Other than your problem: How do you like this dForce Hair Model? ( Thanks. I believe the help offered is on the right track. I haven't the model though.)

Now that I've actually downloaded the hair and had a chance to try it, I've found the answer. It's a Dual Lobe issue. Turning Dual Lobe Specular Weight to zero eliminated the effect completely, though it left the hair color a bit too flat. More subtle adjustments are recommended.

1 - Excellent but will take practice

2 - by a process of elimination discovered that last night, and yes more subtle adjustments needed, so will give it more practice later,

just an idea set it to zero then adjust it gradually? but not today. such a lovely day not going to be sitting in front of the comp. all day laugh

    thanks

Thank You!  I must have something setup that lets me know that someone's answered.

Sorted. Set Dual lobe Reflectivity to Zero as suggested, then adjust Dual Lobe Specular 2 Roughness to the effect required. I found 0.50 to give good results. Tried it with Black, Brown & Red colours
