Horizontal lines between thigh and leg on genesis

I m noticing a strange horizontal band on genesis when rendered with the max shader. Basically if I render the image on the lowest shader settings (number 1) then everything is ok. But once I increase the quality I can notice two horizontal bands on the character where thighs meet the legs. Has anyone noticed this ? I can dupe by simply creating a new genesis male figure, setting the render and render it. Pic is attached - you can see the band within that area I circled in red. . I have not made any any changes to the default settings - just creating a brand new file , adding genesis actor and going to render with highest quality will result in this. There are no lights or any other objects in the scene. Any ideas ?

P.S. I just checked other shader settings - it doesn't appear on any shader setting except number 4 (max)

those look like seams. do you have another texture you could try out?

What program are you rendering in and what is the 'max Shader'.
Usually higher render settings get rid of seems that show up.
If you could also post a bigger image it might be easier to figure out what the problem is - could also be the wrong UV.

    Hi,

When I said "max shader" I meant "max shader settings" - meaning setting that Quality vs Speed scale to number 4 (which uses 3delight shader) in Daz3d 4.6

However, I also found the solution to my problem - if I check "progressive rendering" box then the lines disappear and everything is OK again. So the problem is solved, even though I don't get why :) ... Hopefully this might help if someone runs into a similar situation though.

Progressive rendering is a low quality preview render, better than OpenGL but not good for final renders.

The Shading Rate in the "Advanced Render Settings" Pane is key to getting rid of these seams generally speaking In the Render setting pane is a tab called Advanced. In there you will find more quality control settings. If the Shading Rate is too high (meaning low quality) then you will get these types of seams. If you drop the Shading rate down to say 0.50 you might see an improvement. I normally go for 0.20 - 0.10.

Don't rely on that slider. The settings can be adjusted outside of what that slider can provide. I use AdamR's one click render presets so I don't have to fiddle with all of the numbers every time:
