Keeping the figure in place

I've been trying to do an animation of a character squatting, but the I'm having trouble keeping the character from shifting. Any advice on that?

    Which application, and which figure, are you using?

    I would find a squat pose and use it .

    Daz 3d 4.6, Gensis.

    Try using the Active Pose tool - it is more limited than IK with the regular posing tools, but its pins are stronger (as long as the pose is possible).
