Carrara 7 macOS Sierra - text in menu missing

does anyone know how to fix the missing text in the file menu edit menu etc. ?

I have had no problems previously but could be a macOS Sierra thing (?)

surely this must be something DAZ can address and fix with a patch

thanks but I can't locate FONTS "" - I guess I have to register the serial number for the first time to get that generated but without knowing the language selection for English or French I would be stuck with French which I don't want. If you know what is first English or French can you let me know?

OK, I got it registered in French... luckely there is an option to English

Yes, it is nostalgic. That's how I discovered Carrara and became addicted (that and the tremendous help I got from 3DAge at the beginning). I switched to version 8.5 long afterwards when it was so cheap and I needed the 64bits.

just was digging through old stuff and found this DVD today, checking in out and ooops text not showing in the menu but thanks to th3Digit it's working

would love to get 8.5 Pro but have other expenses right now with moving home so this has to wait for some time

yes I too bought that magazine and upgraded to 7 after using 6

I use Windows BTW but recalled the font bug and lots of upset Mac users

Interesting, that was in 3DWorld issue 133. I was just reading last month's copy in the (cough) small room, and that's issue 233. No DVD with it though, just download links for a bunch of tutorials & vids.

I have 8.5 on high sierra, fbx import has issues but menus are there

You can get the fbx library from support - it just got left out of the distro.

I downgraded to macOS Sierra

all good again

Helvetica works best with the menu
