External Solid State Drive

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I just came into an external 256 GB SSD that uses USB-C. I'm wondering if it is worth using it with DS, and if so, how? (Like would it be better to move my content library to the SSD, or to somehow use it to assist with rendering?) Thanks in advance!

    If you don't buy much content it would work fine. You go into the DIM preferences & the DAZ Studio preference and configure the DAZ content to install to a folder you make on the SSD.

    Cool, thanks, I'll check how big my content library is. Does this make much of a difference? I know an internal SSD can make a big difference on loading times for scenes, but is an external with a USB really going to make anything that much faster/better?
