How to use SY Victoria 4 and Michael 4 Clones for Genesis 8

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Hi all, I just got this , I can't figure it out.  it says to load the clothing , then choose the clone. how do you do that? There is nothing except 2 icons and they both bring me to SY's Store page. Weird.

    There's nothing to load from the library, it works automatically when you try to fit a V4/M4 item to G8.

    Here's an example with a V4 item and G8F:

    • Load your G8F figure. Select her in the scene.
    • Load the V4 item you want to use from the library. Be careful to load the item itself, which will be a .cr2 file, and not some materials.
    • If DS doesn't try to fit it automatically to G8F, select the clothing in the scene and use its "Fit to" parameter to do it.
    • When DS tries to fit that item to G8F autofit dialog should pop up and ask you what the source figure is, and what type of item it is. Select V4 and the type of item.
    • Your V4 item should now be fitted to G8F.

    it works pretty good with some stuff. though capes don't work very well. they get all crumpled. weird.

    For a cape I would symply parent it to the figure's neck or chest rather than use autofit.

    My thoughts also.

    Unfortunately I ended up returning this product since SY distorted the V4 clone for specialized fits such as dresses and tunics which do me no good and distort normal outfits when autofitted. I find I get a perfect fit when autofitting to G3 first, saving and then autofitting to G8

    She does have a product that has a cape option. which I might check out. though I figured out a fix. I added Dforce to the cape and it unwrinkled it. Though I did it through the the process of fitting from G2 though G3 to get to G8. which had very few krinkles.
