Problem starting Daz3D

More and more often i get the following error. I then need to restart my computer to get it working again. Anyone an idea what is causing this or how to solve it without having to restart my computer?

It often happens when i did a long render and close down Daz, i install some new content and then start DAZ again.

First, Daz3D is the company name. Studio is one of their programs.

Second, do you have the correct OpenGL version it lists?

It sounds as if the driver may be shutting down and not fully coming back, or just getting stuck somehow. Have you tried updating/downgrading the driver? It might also be an early symptom of a hardware problem.

I have recently upgraded my driver so that could be the case. At least i hope thats it as the card is only a couple of months old. I will see if i can do something with the driver. thanks

  • Wanting to add my two cents:  I am running an Nvidia GTX 950 with current Nvidia drivers/software.  I receive the same message usually after a shutdown and restart of Daz Studio.  As with patrick.dewijs I have to restart my PC to get Daz Studio working again.

I Just installed a new driver.

The automated driver update for nvidia failed so i did it manualy. The geforce app siad i needed to update i tried again manualy but got an error on the setup. (somethign with permissions, which is weird with me being admin on my own machine) then i used the automated proces and (knock on wood) i havent had that issue yet. Im using version 397.31 Release date 04/25/2018
This driver seems to have stabilized the open GL version problems i had.
