How to move CMS db files during installation

OK, another one! (A late night install for me) I'm trying to get the cms files off of the C: drive. They got installed to C:\Users\raymand\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms. I see in Edit | Preferences, there is a CMS tab where this folder is specified. I'd like to move this cms directory to my D: drive. But I think I cannot copy it cleanly while the Postgres db is running. If I try in File Explorer, it complains about one of the files. Is there an easy way to stop and start CMS? Then maybe I could move the cms folder to D: and update the preference setting, then restart CMS.

There is also a tutorial on "Installation 101" for Daz. It alludes to a checkbox on the 3rd screen (after you accept the program and content licenses) to customize cms. Supposedly if you checked it, then when it got to the cms installation, it would prompt you for where you wanted it. But this check box is not found on the latest version of Daz, and you never get a prompt asking where you want the cms database.

Close DS (and DIM) and wait for a bit, then check Task Manager (the Processes tab if using WIndows 7) to be sure that PostgreSQL has shut down.

I tried that. But being too late at night, and impatient, I checked Task Manager too soon, and saw like 5 or 6 PostgreSQL processes. I'll try again and give it a little more time. (Probably most we just child processes of a main PostgresSQL process.)

    Thanks!

    Start Studio.

    Select the "Content Library" tab.

    Click on the options menu.

    Click on "Stop CMS"

Use Explorer to move the files where you want them.

In Studio: F2 or Edit -> Preferences

On the "CMS" tab, browse to your new location.

    Click "Accept".

Click on the "Content Library" tab options menu again.

    Click "Start CMS"

Select the "Smart Content" tab and verify that you can access your content.

Thanks, namffuak. On several occassions I have ended up with CMS not running for one reason or another, and Daz displays a button on the smart content tab (I think) to restart it. But it is really good to know where to go if you want to proactively stop it yourself.

By the way, I was needlessly worried about copying the cms folder. I pointed it to a location on my preferred drive where I had created an empty cms folder. It automatically populated that with a zillion subfolders and files that constituted the postgres database storage. I figured I would have to move that there myself from the old location, but it did all the work. (I should have given Daz more credit!)
