dForce Spinning: Any tips to make it work?

Whenever I try to animate a cloak, dress or anything else that should fly about with centrifical force, I get results that don't look anything like you'd expect. Has anybody figured a way to get this to work? I've had the same problem with forward movement, where you'd expect things to trail, but they just fall. I thought it might be that I didn't have things move quickly enough, but I just did a test with a complete 360º rotation in a second (60 frames at 60 fps), which is way quicker tahn a person would rotate and no centrifical force.

Are you finishing with a Stabilisation period in Simulation Settings?
No. I set it up with an animation. Even as it moves through the spin frames, there doesn't appear to be any centrifical force happening, or its very minor
