Select the items you don't want to drape and in the Parameters pane either Freeze Simulation or turn Visible in Simulation off, depending on what you want to happen.
thank you Richard
i will try that
Thank You for your help, Richard.
Isn't there a way to "solo" a simulation object? Going through all my simulation objects and disabling them and maybe activating them later can be quite tedious when I have many objects in my scene.
In the Public Build (beta) yes - just select the items - the nes you want to simulate and the things you want them to collide with - and use the Simulate Selected command.
Don't forget that you can seelct multiple objects and set their properties in one go.
That's just with the UI - the feature has been available via script from the outset http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/simulating/simulate_selected_group/start
