Damage to stuff shader...

I'm thinking something that can paint a surface with texture (sorta) that shows damage.

It'd have to be like a cloth shader that doesn't lose the texture map of what's there.

I hope I described that right. I don't know if this is common or not, but-

This product https://www.daz3d.com/pd-iray-shader-kit-2

Has that feature, so I wondering if it was possible to make something like this for other materials.

a) Holes/cracks/damage/marks/dents/scratches in an array of materials (concrete, wood, stones, walls [sheetrock, plaster, plain painted], sheet metal, corrugated metals-

b) Dents in car doors, gashes and gouges etc...

---------

Maybe the shader isn't the right approach, but I'd rather not use a geoshell-system.

And maybe KindredArts is the best vendor to come up with something that can damage to different areas of objects and surfaces....

I have this and have used it before.

One approach is to make a plane and place it. The other is to place the bounding box,

I mean THIS look as a texture and the shader 'tiles it' across the surface. A BIG pattern so you don't see it repeat.

It's be the equivalent of picking a material and having Daz coat the surface with the pattern of damage.

At least, that's how I'd like it to work.

You know shaders, is that possible?
