Error installing Photoshop 3D Bridge

I cannot for the life of me install the Photoshop 3D Bridge. I've tried in on both my Mac and PC. The explanation in the Errors message is baffling and un-informative. It makes no sense. Does anyone have clear step-by-step instructions on how to install this? HEEEEEELP!

Here's the messsage I get on both my Mac and PC...

Do you in fact have a suitable version of Photoshop installed? Have you told Install Manager where it is, by clicking the gear icon at top-right of the main window to open prferences, then going to the Applications tab, clicking the + button, enmtering the details of your Photoshop, and clicking the ... button set the location of the app/.exe file?

Yes I have if fact a suitable version of Photoshop installed. I didn't "enmetering" it, but I did in fact ENTER it. :D

You've got it set as another version of daz studio, not as a version of Photoshop.

Great. What does that mean. As I said before, do you have a step-by-step or just snarky answers.

I explained - click the + button to add a new application, then set the details - that is, pick Photoshop, pick the version etc., and click the ... button tos et the path. In your screenshot you've set the path, but left the other details at Daz Studio.

OK, so I got rid of the other two and still nothing. Can anyone else chime in here?

Like Richard is saying, you've still got it set as a version of Daz. When you click the + button, the add application menu pops up, and the first pull down menu on the left says, "Name:". Under this pull down menu, select your version of photoshop, and you should be good to go.

OK, that does makes sense now, so I did that and nothing. I still get the same error. Here's what it looks like now...

OR... do I select on of the folders within the CC 2018 folder? Or do I create one? The manager simply refuses to acknowledge Photoshop. Here's my Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 folder contents...

    Seriously frustrating. AAAARGH! :p

You now need to add back the entry for Daz Studio, so DIM knows where to put the DS end. You also need the Hexagon entry for its plug-in and content, as well as entries (description and path) for any other applications for which you will want DIM to install.

Okay, so I'm not the only one with the same problem. Also, DAZ noob here (days-old noob in fact), so bare with me. I'm having exactly the same problem. I followed the instractions up to the last post Richard Haseltine made, which I think I don't need (Hexagon is installed all right). What now? I'm having the same problem with some other files as well (same error message), but I don't have these programmes installed anyway (poser and GoZ), so maybe that's why I get that message. I've been trying to attach an image to this post, but I haven't been able to upload it so far...

Do I need to have photoshop open in order for this to work, perhaps?

If you havea suitable version of Photoshop isntalled and are getting the no path error make sure you actually set the application details correctly - a common issue is setting the path correctly in the Application tab of settings, but not telling Install Manager that it's the path for Photoshop

  • Hi Richard.

I have photoshop CC 2019, and I've set the path to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 (where photoshop.exe is installed). That's the path I set up in the Applications tab of the Install Manager. I'm more intrigued by the last part of your comment (

a common issue is setting the path correctly in the Application tab of settings, but not telling Install Manager that it's the path for Photoshop

Isn't that what I did through the Applications tab? Is this an extra step I've missed? Where do I go to do what you said?

I assume any other programmes that give the same error in the future (poser or DSON or GoZ) will have the same solution as the one with photoshop, right?

    Thank you!
