Exporting from Max to Daz

Trying to make some models and bring them into Daz and I'm running into an issue. Faces that are flat in Max come out all "bulged" looking in Daz. Anyone encountered this and know a workaround? I suspect (I'm a total noob at this) maybe I'm missing a step or maybe missing something in the export dialogue.. Unsure

Belay that.. I found the problem. For those that wish to know, I had to disable SMOOTH in the surface editor of Daz.
Another option, in DS there is a slider at the bottom or each surface tab called angle, this seems to regulate the amount of smoothing and I have found it very useful when importing models with high levels of smoothing and the bulging effect.
