Animating with Mimic

Hey everyone
I'm pretty new to Daz but have used the mimic software and I am pleased with the results. Is there any way to animate the character in some way (swaying now and again and changing emotions with what they're saying) in Daz3d, instead of having a blank expression?

You'd need to add that manually after setting up the lip-synching, as far as I know.
Animate (lite version comes with DAZ Studio), and Animate2, payfor that lets you edit and save aniblocks will let you use the various 'genesis-alive' aniblock collections in the DAZ store to layer such 'life' idles on top of any existing timeline animation.
It's a whole world of layering, but it does let you ... layer your animations, adding idles, expressions, motions, etc. You might consider adding puppeteering to an existing scene as another option. Look for the DAZ Studio youtube videos on that for the best possible explanation of how that works. It's pretty amazing what can be done.
To be sure, there's a bit of a learning curve with these tools (they're quite capable), but the results are limitless.
hope this helps,
