Power Pose for Legacy Figures in DS 4.10? Please?

I know this topic has been brought up before, and if there's another thread dedicated to this particular topic, I apologize in advance.

I have been using Power Pose in DAZ since I began with the software years ago. I find it to be an indispensible tool. But I also don't always use the most recent generation of figures. In fact I still use M4 and V4 regularly, as I have characters that work for me and it would be a pain in the butt to try to transfer them. I know DAZ has changed the way that Powerpose works in the latest version(s), and has encrypted the templates files for the new figures. I also understand that they want us to buy all the new outfits and poses etc etc etc so that they can make money. But I'm EXTREMELY frustrated that they seem to be forcing me to abandon Power Pose for the legacy figures. 

Has anyone out there figured out a way to get templates for those legacy figures? I had been using PDSmith's templates in 4.9, but those no longer work. Is there any solution?

Are you using the latest  version of DS? You should not be blocked from creating new templates for other Daz, or even third-party, figures. What steps are you following?
